B.C. Rich is a manufacturer of guitars and bass guitars.
They are known for their unusual and somewhat threatening body shapes, earning widespread popularity among various heavy metal players in the 1980s to the present.
Currently, most B.C. Rich guitars are manufactured in Asia, but the luthiers of company's Custom Shop Guitars continue to hand-make instruments. HHI INC. now operates the Southern California B.C. Rich custom shop.
As of 2007, no member of the Rico family who established the company is involved in the production of B.C. Rich guitars.
